Vostok - Komandirskie (Commander's) series
The Komandirskie — “commander’s watch” — is the definitive Soviet military watch, produced by the Vostok factory in Chistopol under official order of the USSR Ministry of Defence from 1965. Original military-order dials carry the marking «ЗАКАЗ МО СССР», and the design brief was pure function: shock-resistant, luminous, legible, unbreakable in spirit. The endless parade of dial designs — tanks, paratroopers, warships, red stars — has become a collecting universe of its own.
