Raketa
Raketa watches come from the Petrodvorets Watch Factory near St. Petersburg — founded by Peter the Great in 1721, which makes it older than every Swiss brand you can name. It is also one of the very few factories on Earth that built its movements from A to Z, hairspring and escapement included. The workhorse 2609.HA calibre powered decades of production, and the design range runs from sober dress watches to the famous Big Zero and 24-hour dials made for polar crews who couldn’t tell noon from midnight by looking out the window. Every Raketa here is serviced, tested and photographed individually. Choosing your first Soviet watch? Read Vostok vs Raketa.
