Luch quartz wrist watch
MADE IN BELARUS!
This is a round dress wristwatch “RAY” (LUCH) on a matching gold-tone bracelet, with a quartz movement, made by the LUCH factory in Minsk after the break-up of the USSR.
The bright yellow dial carries applied gold baton markers, slim gold hour and minute hands and a gold seconds hand. It is signed “Luch” in Latin letters above the centre, with “QUARTZ” below it and “Made in Belarus” at the bottom. Because the dial says Belarus rather than “Сделано в СССР”, this watch was made after 1991 in independent Belarus.
Original LUCH watch has a quartz movement and operates on a single battery. The movement is the Minsk-made calibre 2356, stamped with the Luch logo and “BY”.

This watch has recently been serviced by a professional watchmaker and keeps good time.
Slim gold-tone case with a plain stainless steel snap-on case back. The dial and hands are clean and bright. The gold-tone finish is in good shape, with light marks consistent with age; the case back shows fine surface scratches.
Comes complete with a new gold-tone stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.
