Soviet gold-plated mechanical Slava wrist watch, 21 jewels
MADE IN USSR!
Classic square dress watch “Slava” with a silver sunburst dial, applied gold-tone baton markers and a date window at 4 o’clock.
Lovely vintage watch made by 2nd Moscow Watch factory, USSR.
The original passport identifies the model as Slava 2414 and carries the factory release stamp of January 1976. The movement number (766295) matches the number written into the passport.
The case is gold-plated (stamped Au10) with a stainless steel case back.
The watch is mechanical and does not need batteries to operate.
Original Soviet Slava watch has mechanical lever movement and manual winding. Caliber 2414 runs on two mainspring barrels, has shock protection and an instant-change date; the passport rates it for at least 40 hours on a full wind.

About the watch factory
Slava (Russian: Cлава, meaning “Glory”) watches were classic “civil” Russian watches commonly referred to as “Slava Lava!”.
The Slava factory (known originally as the Second Moscow Watch Factory) was the second non-military watch maker established in the Soviet Union, in 1924.
The watches of this brand have always been meant for civilian consumption, without military or aerospace pretensions. As of today the factory no longer produces.
