This is a classic, ultra-thin dress wristwatch “RAY” (LUCH), built around the slim 23-jewel calibre 2209.

Lovely vintage watch made by the “LUCH” factory in Minsk, USSR. The dark grey dial shows a fine crackle texture across its surface, with large stylised Arabic numerals in pale blue-grey, a silver-white minute track, the cursive Луч signature and “23 камня” / “Сделано в СССР” (Made in the USSR) printed below.

The watch is mechanical and does not need batteries to operate.

Original soviet LUCH watch has mechanical lever movement and manual winding.

This watch has recently been serviced by a professional watchmaker and keeps good time.

Chrome-plated case with a stainless steel snap-on case back stamped with the Soviet State Quality Mark. The front of the case is in good shape; there is plating wear with some brass showing on the underside and lug flanks, consistent with age and use.

Comes complete with vintage steel bracelet.
