Vintage Soviet gold-plated watch bracelet with «Aurora» cruiser buckle, 1917–1987
MADE IN USSR!
The buckle cover is stamped with the cruiser «Aurora» – the ship whose shot signalled the storming of the Winter Palace – between the dates 1917 and 1987, marking the 70th anniversary of the October Revolution. The links are ribbed and decorated with small stars.
The inside of the clasp carries the original Soviet factory stamping «АРТ-ТГ-17» and the fixed state retail price «Ц 7р50к» (7 roubles 50 kopecks). The other clasp blade is stamped «НЕРЖСТАЛЬ» (stainless steel).
Condition: pre-owned. The gold plating on the top side is complete, with scratches and a few dark age spots on the buckle cover. The plating on the underside of the links is heavily worn through, showing the steel underneath – see photos.
