TheΒ BuranΒ programΒ was an attempt by theΒ Soviet UnionΒ to construct an orbital spaceplane to perform similar functions to theΒ Space Shuttle.
BuranΒ flew one test mission, designatedΒ 1K1, on November 15, 1988 at 6:00:00 Moscow time. The spacecraft was launched uncrewed from and landed at Baikonur CosmodromeΒ in theΒ Kazakh S.S.R. and flew two orbits, traveling 83,707Β km (52,013Β mi) in 3 hours, 25 minutes (0.14 flight days).Β
BuranΒ never flew again; the program was cancelled shortly after theΒ dissolution of the Soviet Union.
In 2002, theΒ BuranΒ orbiter was destroyed by the collapse of the hangar in which it was stored.

About the watch factory
Slava (Russian: CΠ»Π°Π²Π°, meaning “Glory”) watches were classic “civil” Russian watches commonly referred to as “Slava Lava!”.
The Slava factory (known originally as the Second Moscow Watch Factory) was the second non-military watch maker established in the Soviet Union, in 1924.
The watches of this brand have always been meant for civilian consumption, without military or aerospace pretensions. As of today the factory no longer produces.
