Pobeda
Pobeda — “Victory” — was born in 1946 as the watch commemorating the Soviet victory in the Second World War; legend insists Stalin approved the name and specifications personally. The brief was simple: accurate, durable, and affordable for the citizens who did the winning. Its 15-jewel movement, developed from a French LIP design, is about as simple as watchmaking gets — which is why so many still run beautifully today. Pobeda was made across the whole Soviet watch industry for nearly fifty years, so the same honest watch appears in dozens of dials, cases and factory markings — half the fun of collecting them. Every Pobeda here is serviced, tested and honestly described.
