The Zenith Calibre 135 is a legendary, award-winning manual-winding watch movement produced from 1949 to 1962, renowned for its exceptional precision, particularly in observatory chronometer competitions. It is considered one of the most significant and successful chronometer movements in watchmaking history.

Design Features:

  • An extra-large balance wheel (14mm diameter) with a Breguet overcoil spring to enhance inertia and rate stability.
  • large mainspring barrel to deliver consistent power to the regulator.
  • A unique movement architecture with an off-center minute wheel to make space for the large balance wheel.
  • Early versions featured a swan-neck regulator, while later, modern reinterpretations incorporate double-arrow regulator arms for fine-tuning.
