Manufactured on Chistopolsky Watch Factory “VOSTOK”, USSR.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”70962″ img_size=”full” onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]The company was appointed an official supplier of watches for the Defence Department of the Soviet Union in 1965. This year also marks the creation of the well known Komandirskie (\u201cCommander\u2019s\u201d) watch.<\/p>\n

The experience gained through development of the army watch led to the Amphibia, a stainless-steel watch able to withstand a 200 metre depth (20atm).
\nWatches sold to the military were marked \u201c\u0417\u0410\u041a\u0410\u0417 \u041c\u041e \u0421\u0421\u0421\u0420,\u201d meaning \u201cOrdered by the Ministry of Defence of the USSR.\u201d These models were sold exclusively through Voentorg stores, which catered to military personnel with identification only. \u00a0Today, these models have become sought-after collectibles.<\/p>\n
