This is quite an unusual and rare specimen.
\nThe first batch was made in 1974. Mass production began in 1977
\nThe main feature of an electromechanical watch is a balance motor driven by pulses synchronized by a quartz resonator. In fact, this is mechanics, on the contrary, the torque in the movement appears in balance due to electrical impulses in the coil and is transmitted to the hands. Therefore, the watch has preserved the classic “ticking” for mechanical watches<\/p>\n

This is the first and last Soviet watch with a similar movement. This movement was not developed further due to its complexity.<\/p>\n

Therefore, subsequently, quartz watches began to be made with the now familiar and simpler movements<\/p>\n

In December 1964, an order was issued to organize the production of electromechanical watches CHN-4M.<\/p>\n

In the seventies on the world market, watches appeared on the new principles of action – electromechanical and electronic. These watches have a great advantage in comparison with mechanical ones, an order of magnitude higher accuracy of travel and there is no need for daily planting of watches. The Minsk watch factory, among the first enterprises in the former USSR, began research and design work on the construction of electronic and electronic mechanical watches. In December 1964, an order was issued to organize the production of electromechanical watches CHN-4M.<\/p>\n

In 1971, prototypes of an electronic mechanical clock with a Luch-3045 balance engine were manufactured.In 1973, the delivery of these watches to trading organizations began. The watch was produced in small quantities.<\/p>\n

LUCH-3054
\nIn January 1976 NIIChP developed a mechanism of electronic-mechanical wristwatch with arrow indication(AHS-4). According to the newly developed standard “Uniform names of clocks, trademarks of factories and a system for marking mechanisms, hull formations,” the cipher of the Luch-3054 mechanism was assigned to the electro-mechanical watch (AHS-4).<\/p>\n

In 1976, a pilot lot of Luch-3054 watches were manufactured in the amount of 40 pieces. And the next year the production plan was designed for a thousand pieces.<\/p>\n
